City of White Rock Upgrades Centennial Arena with CODA Audio and AtlasIED
November 11th, 2025 (White Rock, BC) – The City of White Rock set out to enhance the end-user experience at Centennial Arena, modernizing an aging sound system that had served its purpose but could no longer meet current performance expectations. With advancements in audio technology over the past two decades, the goal was to deliver a system that offered clarity, coverage, and ease of use for all arena activities — from hockey games to special events.

The system’s backbone is driven by AtlasIED’s Atmosphere platform, which combines flexible programming with an intuitive user interface. In the common areas, Atlas AS surface-mount speakers ensure consistent sound throughout the facility. The final product is a clean, reliable, and user-friendly audio solution with even coverage both on and off the ice.
“We’d been looking for the right project to use CODA for some time, and Centennial Arena turned out to be a great fit,” said Steve Klassen, Sapphire. “Our design focused on clean coverage, reliable intelligibility, and maintaining the facility’s aesthetics. The CODA D12 speakers were perfect — compact, low-profile, and well within budget and timeline. Working with SC Media’s design team was seamless, and the result speaks for itself.”

The installation achieved even coverage across spectator areas and strong, intelligible sound over the ice which is ideal for announcements, music playback, and community events.
